Founded by Michael Joy back in 1992, Joy Marble & Tile has established itself as one of the greatest and prestigious providers of stone fabrication, tile, and shower glass services in the Tulsa, OK region.
Michael Joy loves what he does and has spent his entire career evolving to be the best in the stone and tile industry. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, he began working in the tile trade at 20 years old and quickly became a member of Local 3 Union for Tilesetters and other craftworkers. He became Vice President of Local 3 for three years. He was trained in blueprint reading and estimating. In 1992, looking for a change from the big city, Michael moved his family to Tulsa, OK. He created Joy Marble & Tile and fell in love with the people and city. The rest is history.
Outside of work, his passion for hiking keeps him busy. He is one of the very few that can boast they have hiked all 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail. His nickname is “Clank” from everything hanging off of him clanking around. The biggest loves of his life are his wife, Stephanie, and their two dogs, Gemma and Kona. He still loves Washington Football, but the Kansas City Chiefs have stolen a piece of his heart!
